Diet Tips
These 3 Diet tips keeps everyone healthy according to the fitness magazine April 2007 issue. Read on these important healthy tips. This tips will help you and everyone around you stay healthy.
1. Sprinkle some cinnamon. A half teaspoon of cinnamon each day- dust a little on your morning toast or afternoon slim latte- can help your body absorb glucose faster and convert it into energy more easily, report researchers at the USDA's Human Nutrition Research center in Beltsville, Maryland.
2. Pour on the Vinaigrette. The acetic acid in vinegar may inhibit your body's absorption of glucose from carbohydrates, which will help stabilize blood-sugar levels, according to research from Arizona State University. Aim for two to four tablespoons a day. Any white vinegar-white, cider, balsamic-works as long as the acetic acid content is about 5 percent (the amount in most household vinegars), says researcher Carol S. Johnston, Ph.D.
3. Sip (a little wine). Wine seems to improve the body's ability to use insulin. The key is to stick with one drink per day (more raises your risk of high blood pressure). Plus, if you're at high risk for breast cancer, talk to your doctor before imbibing daily; it may be best to skip the drinks entirely.

Snacking Tips
Here's 3 smart snacking tips I read from the Fitness magazine April 2007 Issue. I thoughts I'd share it here, helping everyone stay fit and healthy.
1. Choose lighter versions of your favorites- baked chips instead of fried, or low-fat popcorn.
2. Buy 100-calorie packages of cookies and candy, and keep one in your bag to satisfy a sweet tooth.
3. Famished? Try something healthy first:
Drink a glass of water and eat a piece of fruit. Then, if your tummy is still calling out for more, have a few chips or a piece of dark chocolate.

Sleep Power
Do you sleep good every night? Or you are one of the many people who have the massive decline in sleep hours. The many temptation that makes people sleep less affects peoples health and quality of life. Trust me, I am one of the many people that sometimes cannot sleep at night even though my body really wants to just rest. When I am restless and sleep deprived because of work overtime, the many thoughts running in my mind and other reasons, I noticed that my brain don't function that good the next morning. Sometimes instead of working hard and creating effective work, I just stare at a wall with a blank mind. I get more tired and more sleepy. It affects my mood too.
Hope you guys try to sleep better. You will look better and feel better. You will also be more work effective with your work and with dealing other people.

You Are What You Eat
Did you know that eating together as a family can help your children learn good habits? Kids imitate what they see. If you make healthy food choices, they are more likely to do the same.
Here are a few habits that are worth adopting:
1. Slow down to avoid overeating. It takes 20 minutes for your brain to know your stomach is full.
2. Eat foods from all the food groups. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Don't forget the fiber.
3. Limit fats, oils and sugar.
4. Drink plenty of water. Stay away from sodas and other high calorie and high sugar drinks.
5. Watch portions. Even low-calorie foods can add up if the servings are too big.

Diet warning
I was reading old fitness magazine and I found this diet warning in page 69 of their December 2006 issue. I am not sure if this pill issue has been resolve yet (please check FDA for any updates at http://www.fda.gov) but I just want to share this with you too. Be warn that there are dangerous drug you can buy online.
In 2004, The FDA banned Ephedra, an amphetamine-like herb used in weight-loss supplements. They've been linked to life-threatening heart palpitations an strokes. These drugs containing ephedra may still be found an ordered online, so beware.
Be wary of the supplements ads that boost rapid weight loss or instant energy, and check their ingredients list for ephedra or ma huang (the chinese name of the herb) advises James Dillard, M.D., medical director of the Rosenthal Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine at Columbia University in New York.
